Software Downloads:
Software products are packaged and delivered via download in standard zip file format. If the downloaded file does not contain the .zip file extension, rename the file to include a .zip file extension. (Example downloaded software product file names are Voltage_Drop.zip, The_Electricians_Tool_Pouch.zip, or Short_Circuit_Analysis.zip)
Application Setup:
Extract all of the files in the software download zip file into a designated directory on the computer’s hard drive. Then go to the designated directory, and click on the setup icon to begin the installation.
.NET Framework 3.5:
If Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 installation is required and a problem occurs during the installation, check the computer’s installed programs for Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 and Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 1. If they are not present they will have to be installed as .NET Framework 3.5 is an add-on to .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0, and cannot run independent of 2.0 and 3.0.

Database Interface Handler Errors:
Over time changes to a PC, such as adding/removing programs or PC maintenance, cause changes in the Microsoft Jet OLE DB interface handler, which may corrupt some database connections.
Receiving the message:
Multiple step OLE DB operation generated errors. Check each OLE DB status value, if available. No work was done.
upon starting the software is an indication of database connection corruption.
The work around for this problem is to uninstall the software and re-install in a different sub-directory. For example, enter C:\Program Files\Thayer Enterprises\TETP\ for the folder on the ‘Select Installation Folder’ setup window during re-installation instead of accepting the default folder C:\Program Files\Thayer Enterprises\The Electricians Tool Pouch\.
